Message Notes

1. Jesus tells everyone to turn around!

Matthew 4:17
From then on Jesus began to preach, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the
Kingdom of Heaven is near.”

2. Jesus invites people to come and follow Him.

Matthew 4:18
One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw
two brothers—Simon, also called Peter, and Andrew—throwing a net into the water, for they
fished for a living. Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish
for people!” And they left their nets at once and followed him. A little farther up the shore he saw two other brothers, James and John, sitting in a boat with
their father, Zebedee, repairing their nets. And he called them to come, too. They immediately followed him, leaving the boat and their father behind.

3. He teaches His followers to live the Kingdom of Heaven life…

John 14:6
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life.”

John 14:12-14
12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will
do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 And I will do whatever
you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 You may ask me for
anything in my name, and I will do it.

John 12:25-26
“Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this
world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my
servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.”
