1. What is Sin?

Sin is any action or inaction that misses the mark of God’s standards. 

2. Why is Sin Bad?

Sin hurts Others.

Sin hurts You. 

Proverbs 8:35-36
For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the LORD. But those who miss me injure themselves.

Psalms 19:7-8
The instructions of the LORD are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The commandments of the LORD are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are clear, giving insight for living.

Sin hurts God.

3. What are the Consequences of Sin?

Genesis 2:16-17
But the LORD God warned him, “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden— except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.”

Numbers 32:23
You may be sure that your sin will find you out.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death.
