The Formula for Peace | The War Within

October 25, 2026

Message Description
In the final week of The War Within, we explored Philippians 4:6–7 and a simple reminder: Prayer + Praise = Peace. When anxious thoughts pull us toward what we can’t control, we can bring our worries to God and thank Him for His faithfulness. As we entrust our concerns to Him, His peace can guard our hearts and minds, even while our circumstances remain unresolved. What is one worry you can bring to God this week, and what can you thank Him for as you trust Him with the outcome?

PRAYER + PRAISE = PEACE

Philippians 4:5
The Lord is at hand.

Philippians 4:6–7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

PRAYER + PRAISE = PEACE

If you’re thinking about it, you should pray about it.

Prayer puts my problems before God. Praise reminds me whose hands I’m placing them in.

PRAYER + PRAISE = PEACE

Philippians 4:7
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard
your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

The world’s peace is something you have to protect. God’s peace is something that protects you.

The presence of a struggle does not mean the absence of God.

PRAYER + PRAISE = PEACE
