Proverbs 22:6
Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.

EVERY CHILD IS THREE THINGS:

1. A sinner who needs grace.

Isaiah 53:6
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way;

2. A fool who needs guidance.

Proverbs 12:15
Fools think their own way is right, but the wise listen to others.

Proverbs 18:2
Fools have no interest in understanding; they only want to air their own opinions.

3. A worshipper who needs to put God in the right place.

Proverbs 1:7-9
Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. My child, listen when your father corrects you. Don’t neglect your mother’s instruction. What you learn from them will crown you with grace and be a chain of honor around your neck.

A PARENT’S JOB

1. DIRECT THEIR HEART.

Proverbs 4:23
Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.

2. DIRECT THEIR HEAD.

3. DIRECT THEIR HANDS.

Proverbs 12:1
To learn, you must love discipline; it is stupid to hate correction.

Proverbs 19:18
Discipline your children while there is hope. Otherwise you will ruin their lives.

EVERY ADULT IS THREE THINGS:

1. A sinner who needs grace.
2. A fool who needs guidance.
3. A worshipper who needs to put God in the right place.
