In week three of Come and See, we’re talking about what it means to discover your purpose. God didn’t just save you from something. He saved you for something. As we follow Jesus, He redeems our story, develops what He’s placed in us, and helps us discover our place in what He is doing in the world. You don’t have to have the whole plan figured out. Purpose begins with following Jesus and being willing to take the next step. What is one next step Jesus may be asking you to take as you discover your place in His purpose?

Exodus 6:6-7
Say therefore to the people of Israel, ‘I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will free you from slavery to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great acts of judgment. 7 I will take you to be my people, and I will be your God

Matthew 4:18–20
While walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon (who is called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. 19 And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

PURPOSE is discovered in PROXIMITY to JESUS.

WHAT IF PURPOSE ISN’T WHAT WE THOUGHT?

Biblical PURPOSE isn’t finding God’s plan for MY life. It’s finding MY PLACE in God’s plan for the WORLD.

Luke 5:27–28
After this he went out and saw a tax collector named Levi, sitting at the tax booth. And he said to him, “Follow me.” 28 And leaving everything, he rose and followed him.

YOUR PURPOSE IS BIGGER THAN YOUR PROFESSION
