Obedience leads to blessing.

We cannot sow disobedience and expect to reap blessings.

Jeremiah 7:23
“Obey me, and I will be your God, and you will be my people. Do everything as I say, and all will be well!”

John 15:10
When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.

2 John 5:6
Love means doing what God has commanded us.

Luke 11:26
“…even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.”

Tithe – the first 10% of your income, set apart as holy, it belongs to the Lord, brought

the church.

1. TITHING IS TESTING.

Malachi 3:6-12
“For I am the Lord, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.”

Genesis 14:18-20
Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. And he blessed him and said: “Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth; And blessed be God Most High, Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.” And he gave him a tithe of all.

Genesis 28:22
“And this stone which I have set as a pillar shall be God’s house, and of all that You give me I will surely give a tenth to You.”

Leviticus 27:30
And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s. It is holy to the Lord.

1 Samuel 15:22
“What is more pleasing to the LORD: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.”

2. TITHING IS TRAINING.

Matthew 23:23
“What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore the more important aspects of the law—justice, mercy, and faith. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things.”

John 14:15
“If you love me, obey my commandments.”

John 15:14
You are my friends if you do what I command.

3. TITHING IS A BLESSING.

When you choose to disobey God, you are choosing to live without His blessing.

Deuteronomy 11:26
See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse – the blessing if you obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today.
